Getting municipal approval for a new construction or renovation project may seem daunting at first, especially when you don’t know where to start.
After drawing up the plans with a professional,SACAP-registered architect or draughtsman, the plans need to be submitted for approval at your local municipality.
Submission process
New clients
Visit your nearest runner with the following:
- Your original identification document (must be 18 years or older).
- SANS 10400 – Standard National application form
- Zoning Certificate with approved land-use rights – annexure
- S. G. diagram
- Drainage diagram
- Title deed – Ownership – not bond deed
- 2 x sets of plans, color in one according to NBR requirements
- Latest service statement-up to date – Proof of Payment
- Consent letter in group housing sectional title
- Home owners association – proof of approval/stamp
- Power of Attorney
- Building Plan Application Form
- Architectural Compliance Certificate
- Architectural Proof of SACAP Registration
