Getting municipal approval for a new construction or renovation project may seem daunting at first, especially when you don’t know where to start.

After drawing up the plans with a professional,SACAP-registered architect or draughtsman, the plans need to be submitted for approval at your local municipality.

 

Submission process

 

New clients

Visit your nearest runner with the following:

  • Your original identification document (must be 18 years or older).
  • SANS 10400 – Standard National application form
  • Zoning Certificate with approved land-use rights – annexure
  • S. G. diagram
  • Drainage diagram
  • Title deed – Ownership – not bond deed
  • 2 x sets of plans, color in one according to NBR requirements
  • Latest service statement-up to date – Proof of Payment
  • Consent letter in group housing sectional title
  • Home owners association – proof of approval/stamp
  • Power of Attorney
  • Building Plan Application Form
  • Architectural Compliance Certificate
  • Architectural Proof of SACAP Registration
